Loose Fraud Prevention, FIFA World Cup Site Attacked by Hacktivist Group

We live in the world where week security could get you in trouble, yes this time something very weird happens because of lose fraud prevention methods. A hacker group called Hactivist has just kicked off Brazilian Government and Sponsors of 2014 FIFA World Cup with multiple website was attacked with the dangerous Denial of Service attack. This all is happening because the sponsors and Govt. have spend billions of dollars on the World Cup on the other hand many Citizen of the country is starving and don’t have enough money to complete their basic needs. So this is kind of a protest and support from their side to help the weak people to standup. This hacking campaign is called #OpHackingCup, and it has begun at midnight on Wednesday and they have posted a video on the site. They are also targeting the sponsors including Coca-Cola, McDonald, Sony, Visa, Budweiser and Adidas.

“The group has used a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack against the www.worldcup2014.gov.uk website which is an official government portal related to the World Cup - which kicks off in São Paulo on Thursday. "We have a plan of attack. We have already conducted late-night tests to see which of the sites are more vulnerable. This time we are targeting the sponsors of the World Cup." Published on a Source.

Currently, many Brazilian have went to streets against the Govt. lavish expense on the FIFA World Cup on the other hand many ordinary people who don’t have basic services so this move from the Hacker group is more like a online support and they’re running this campaign to force them to stop spending the billions on the games, as of Sponsors they are giving the advertisers during the event to increase the sales and that’s all.
