Target Hires A New CIO To Fix the Internet Security Damage


Earlier, in 2014 when target announced a huge Data theft, which comprised about 100 million credit card credentials and information, also company’s customers loses the faith and also it costs a huge business loss.They took a lie detector test to testify the image of DeRodes and then hires him To fix the image they hired a professional investigator and now Targets new Chief Information officer to boost up the security. Bob DeRodes will now taking each and every decision about the Information technology as a vice president. The target instructed him to focus mainly on security matters so DeRodes now will give his 95% time to getting the security policies beck to line again and customer’s faith will be getting back again. His appointment comes right after the month when target got hit. In which 110 million credit card data was stolen, leaveing the company which angry customers.

Cnet says "DeRodes has a respectable pedigree in the security community, acting in a technology consulting capacity in a wide range of US government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. He has also provided advisory services to a number of major companies. Although DeRodes won't start at Target for another week, that hasn't stopped the company from bolstering its security."

Firm’s security system have changed already so many times because recently there is lot of secureity bug reported to the industry, also two of which are popular now, Heartbleed bug and Oauth OpenID Bug. These two flaws have leave rest of the world at the steak and major Internet giants are vulnerable to these flaws and hackers stealing the information from the servers with several methods. Target will now target only on those parameters which helps them to stand up against data theft and information compromising attack.
