Chad Dixon sentenced for being against Polygraph test

An Indiana man, Chad Dixon was recently put behind bars for eight months when he was found guilty of teaching people tricks to help them beat a polygraph test. The prosecution side argued that polygraph tests are used by the federal authorities when they are screening applicants for sensitive jobs such as intelligence as well as detection of crime. It was feared that if people could pass these test, it means that those who are recruited for some sensitive jobs would end up employing people whose background is not well known.

Nemesysco is one of the companies which is known for development of tools which are used in polygraph and the kind of results they give are reliable. With Nemesysco Limited developed tools question of beating it is unheard of since it relies on human emotions detection.

Reliability of polygraph in detection of crime has made United Kingdom to consider making it mandatory for all the sex offenders to be put under a polygraph test to ensure whether they information they are providing has any truth in it.

A debate has emerged whether it is ethical for people to undermine polygraph, this is the same question that has arisen when it comes to use of mobile speaker while driving. One side of the debate feels that telling a lie is morally wrong; therefore a situation where one is forced to tell the truth goes to correct a wrong. A person who is planning to commit a new crime in future and goes ahead and confesses the truth when polygraph is done goes ahead to prevent a situation which would have turned out bad, therefore when somebody teaches people to beat polygraph he or she contributes to increase of situation where people are harmed when criminal activities increase. Therefore action by the convicted Indiana man should be condemned by all means since it just contributes to worsening a rather good situation.
